9 Rayz Limited was established on a conviction that remains as relevant today as it was on the day we opened our doors: access to reliable, high-speed connectivity is not a privilege contingent on geography. Every organisation — regardless of whether it sits within reach of a fibre trench or a licensed RF network — deserves infrastructure that performs.

We are a New Zealand-based technology company specialising in the supply, deployment, and long-term support of Optical Wireless Communication (OWC) and LiFi solutions. Our technology transmits data as laser light through free space — achieving fibre-grade speeds across distances that cables cannot economically or physically cross, without requiring spectrum licensing, civil excavation, or the extended lead times that traditional infrastructure demands.

This is not emerging technology awaiting validation. Our solutions are field-deployed, government-certified, and operationally proven — backed by our OEM and R&D partnership with Nav Wireless Technologies, a globally recognised pioneer in optical wireless systems with military-grade and Department of Telecommunications certifications to their name.

Our clients are organisations that face a genuine connectivity challenge — one that conventional technology cannot solve without disproportionate cost, time, or disruption. They include Internet Service Providers extending last-mile reach into underserved areas; government agencies that require secure, interference-free links for critical infrastructure and sensitive facilities; and infrastructure partners whose projects span terrain — rivers, ridgelines, protected land, industrial corridors — that fibre will not cross and radio frequency cannot reliably serve.

What is LiFi technology?

LiFi (Light Fidelity) is a high-speed wireless communication technology that uses visible light, infrared, or ultraviolet light to transmit data instead of traditional radio waves. It enables ultra-fast, secure, and interference-free data transfer through LED or laser-based illumination systems.

How does LiFi work?
